 Annapolis,
Maryland Hotels. Annapolis was named for Princess Anne, the youngest
daughter of King James I. Annapolis was home to the four Maryland signers of
the Declaration of Independence. You can tour the home of three of them:
William Paca House and Gardens, Charles Carroll House, Chase-Lloyd House.
The fourth signer was Thomas Stone whose home is on Hanover Street and is
now a private residence. Annapolis was the capital of the United States for
nine months (1783-1784.) |
